The Northern Lights School Division No. 69 electoral wards were created in 1995 when the Lakeland Public School District and Lac La Biche School District were amalgamated.
The boundaries are described as follows:
Ward 1 - Bonnyville and Area
- South of the Beaver River and West of Range Road 431 to the Northern boundary of Cold Lake First Nations; and
- South of Beaver River and West of Range Road 433 (Western boundary of Cold Lake First Nations); and
- South of the Beaver River and West of Range Road 424 from the Southern boundary of Cold Lake First Nations; and
- North of the Beaver River and West of Range Road 434.
Ward 2 - Cold Lake and Area
- South of the Beaver River and East of Range Road 431 to the Northern boundary of Cold Lake First Nations; and
- South of the Beaver River and East of Range Road 422 (Eastern Boundary of Cold Lake First Nations); and
- South of the Beaver River and East of Range Road 424 from the Southern boundary of Cold Lake First Nations; and
- North of the Beaver River and East of Range Road 434.
Ward 3 - Lac La Biche
- Ward 3's boundaries are defined as the lands within the former Lac La Biche School District.
- They are more commonly understood as the boundaries of the former Town of Lac La Biche.
Ward 4 - Lac La Biche - Plamondon
- North of Highway 55, not including the land included in the Ward 3 boundaries;
- and the lands lying East of Highway 36 and North of the southern most boundary of Township 66.
Ward 5 - Lac La Biche South
- South of Highway 55, not including the land included in the Ward 3 boundaries;
- and the lands lying West of Highway 36 and South of the southern most boundary of Township 66.
